No. The desktop version is fully offline — all AI models, processing, and licensing run locally. No data ever leaves your machine. Air-gapped deployment is supported through our LE application process.
Every file imported is SHA-256 hashed on intake. Every processing step, filter, and parameter is logged with timestamps. The automated report documents the complete scientific methodology for court submission.
Qualified law enforcement agencies apply through our LE application page. Approved agencies receive a signed offline activation file valid for 12 months. Annual renewal required.
FaceToFace runs on Windows 10/11. AI features perform best with NVIDIA CUDA GPU but run on CPU. Minimum 16GB RAM recommended. Installation via standard setup.exe.
FaceToFace includes AI deepfake detection, GFPGAN neural image restoration, and a 9-plugin audio forensics suite including gunshot acoustic analysis — capabilities Amped FIVE does not offer. Pricing starts at $799 vs Amped's estimated $3,000+/year.
The online version runs in your browser with Enhanced Mode only — no chain of custody, one AI model per function, credit-based usage. The desktop version includes Forensics Mode, full chain of custody, all AI models, and air-gap capability.
